FAQ
LCB's shea butter is handmade to ensure that women processors earn income year-round. It is raw (unrefined) shea butter. The women organize themselves to ensure production throughout the year, under the supervision of a technical team responsible for maintaining quality standards. This model ensures added value for communities.
We do not produce refined shea butter. Our shea butter is unrefined. It is then homogenized, microfiltered and repackaged to offer the best unrefined product on the market, preserving all its beneficial properties (vitamins, antioxidants and a pleasant natural shea aroma).
For our products in stock in their standard packaging, our minimum order quantities are as follows:
- Shea butter in 25 kg boxes for industrial clients: 1000 kg (1 ton)
- You can obtain smaller quantities of our "Goun" brand in 100g, 250g, 1kg jars and 25kg boxes from our authorized distributors.
When properly stored away from heat and light, shea butter can last up to 2 years but may become rancid if poorly stored.
LCB works closely with communities in Bassila and Ouèssè,
introducing beekeeping to contribute to the preservation of shea resources and
improve men's income through the sale of honey cakes. Thus LCB ensures complementary income and also
contributes to improving the productivity of shea trees.
